These are a few of the adjectives our clients use to describe Amazon Mystery Tours’ exclusive tree-climbing activity. While most people will only see view the trees from the ground, this unique opportunity gives you a bird’s eye view of the rainforest!
We exclusively operate this structure-free, tree climbing activity in the Brazilian Amazon. In line with our ecotourism creed, we do not put up permanent structures. Instead, our experts will mount a rope system and build a small platform of tree branches. Typically, our specialist requires several hours to locate the perfect tree in terms of height and shapein order to get the best view possible for you. The trees we climb are anywhere from 25-70 meters (80-230 feet) high!
For most adventurers, it is a high adrenaline activity due to the vertical height and amazing views. You will reach the top by pushing/pulling yourself up to a huge branch where you can stand and take in this special moment. You’ll be using more leg muscles than arms (don’t worry if you haven’t been to the gym in a while!). Once on the top, you can watch the bird’s fly beneath you and you may spot a few monkeys. Don’t forget to take tons of pictures and videos from your unique vantage point!
This activity usually takes half a day from start to finish and can be incorporated in the first or second day of your trip so it’s not necessary to add another day onto your trip!
